The intention behind this 2 hour workshop is to give you practical methods to build strength within your yoga practice, that you can apply to almost any class you attend!
As we become more flexible, we need to balance this flexibility with increased strength to stay healthy and avoid injury. Sometimes it is even a lack of strength that holds us back from increasing our flexibility, as a weak body relies on muscular tightness to hold itself together in place of muscular strength.
We will look at alignment within asana and transitioning techniques, as well as working to understand the difference between active and passive flexibility, and how to put it to work in our practice. The workshop will begin with a mobility focused warm up to prepare the body, and end with some deep stretches to cool down and lengthen.
